In her manifesto for the Entrepreneur Country event tomorrow, Julie Meyer put together a manifesto. One of the items is the following:

That the bigger the State grows, the weaker the people become – big government creates dependency.

I so have seen this to be the truth everywhere I went and worked. If the context in which people live takes too much control (and responsibility), the people become dependent on the context. Thus change of the context is very painful, since so many people are affected.

Effectively, society freezes itself to death this way.
