Even though I am a “Thinking” personality according to my MBTI type, I do enjoy the people development aspects of leadership.
| There are two ways of exerting one's strength: one is pushing down, the other is pulling up. | | Booker T. Washington | I spend a lot of time to understand myself. This includes work with Myers-Briggs (MBTI), Enneagramm, and to a much lesser extend DiSC. This healty dose of assessment is getting topped of by reading the Tao and Wayne Dyer. All of that has allowed me to recognize and understand my natural tendency to be goal-oriented and include people-aspects (MBTI’s Feeling) in my behavior. As a result, I have been able to mentor and grow several of my subordinates and a supervisor or two as well. The issue with people growth is that it is very personal, and to me a private matter. I will talk specifics in a face-2-face interview, but cannot give more details here. Take a look at my network on LinkedIn, you will see several people that worked for me and got a rather good career lift after we parted ways.
