I was invited to give a talk to customers of Ernst & Young in 1999. Bryan Whitehead, who I had worked with on some aspects of the Information Security Architecture, was interested in giving his audience a glimpse at the uses of the Internet in a large corporation like Whirlpool. This was pre-anything, mind you, and the audience was sure that "the Internet is not safe".
