Whirlpool had a formal recognition process in which managers could recognize their directors.

Here is the text of the recognition: 

"During the week of June 28 employees in every region of Whirlpool had an opportunity to recognize a manager they have reported to who is an example of leadership excellence. There were six categories through which managers could be recognized.

These included:

  • Coaching and Feedback
  • Consistently exhibiting Whirlpool Values
  • Achieving Extraordinary Results With and Through People
  • Engaging People Around the Whirlpool Strategy
  • Driving Change
  • Overall Leadership of People

There is no higher honor than being recognized and appreciated by the people you lead. You were recognized by one person of Whirlpool in one of the above categories. Their comments and reasons for recognizing you are listed below. On behalf of the Global Leadership Development team - congratulations!!!

Great influencing skills and a driver of change. Can motivate his employees to think out of the box and beyond their core areas. Provides exposure to areas beyond core function thus creating an environment for lot of Innovation. Provides ample opportunities for self-development and skill building."
